Joe Bondly has entrepreneurship in his DNA and arts and music are his passion areas. After recovering from his injuries while serving in the U.S. Coast Guard, Joe utilized the GI Bill to hone his business skills and develop his capabilities in audio engineering, arts, music and digital media.
While attending school, Joe founded a small entertainment company managing a band. After completing school, he also taught music as an independent contractor. After discovering that as a service disabled Veteran he could have business opportunities serving the federal market, Joe founded American Independent Media, LLC (AIM) in October of 2007.
To sharpen his skills in entrepreneurship and business in the federal marketplace, Joe attended the Veteran Institute for Procurement (VIP). VIP is the country’s first-ever program to train Veteran service-disabled and Veteran-owned small businesses to succeed in the federal contracting market. Joe was one of the very first graduates of this program — a program that started in Maryland and has now gone national. Since then, he keeps busy honing his business and federal contracting skills at various small business development centers.
Joe’s approach to business and customer service is straightforward:
- Connect people to their passion. The quality of our products and services flow from that passion and enthusiasm.
- Establish a sound foundation on best business practices.
- Invest in people and the tools they use to craft their skills, constantly improving experience, capabilities and in turn the products and services we provide.
- Mistakes are acceptable as long as we all learn and improve from them.
- Seek out world class people, and support organizations skilled in Accounting, Finance, Business Development and Human Resources, and make sure they have the software and systems to maintain compliance to federal procurements.
